How To Use Hypnotic Language Patterns In Hypnosis

There is a reason why legendary hypnotherapist Milton H. Erickson was able to transform people’s lives and free them from problems within ordinary conversations.

Hypnotic language patterns are one of the most powerful tools any hypnotists or persuader can master. Check out this video to discover what they are, how they work, and how you can begin using them right away.

The Power of Hypnotic Language Patterns

Hope you enjoyed that!

Here’s my challenge to you. Have a look at the last segment of the video, and post a comment here on what hypnotic language patterns you spotted.

Here’s a list of some of the most useful, let me know which ones you spotted: 7 Powerful Hypnotic Language Patterns

Here are a couple more:

The Simple Bind:

This pattern links or binds two concepts together. The more you a the more you b.

“The more you read this, the more you realize how easy it is to learn and master these patterns.”

Presupposition of time:

Presuppositions are statements which can only be processed if your listener accepts what you are suggesting. They may not yet be aware of it, or it may happen at a different time, but using presuppositions leads people to accept that it will happen.

“I don’t know when you’ll master these patterns, but as soon as you do, you’ll realize just how powerful they are.”

Presupposition of awareness:

“Have you begun to realize yet just how easy these patterns are to learn, master and apply in your everyday life.”

So, give it a shot!

Watch the final 60 seconds of the video again, and post what patterns you spotted here.

Enjoy!
Cheers,
Nathan Thomas

Nice video!! Was there cause effect, then awareness presupposing, then embedded commands?

I enjoyed the video. Not sure what patterns I spotted, but I think there was definitely both kinds of bind, the single and the double, as well as what JJ3 said before.

I saw cause and effect, awareness presupposition. Is it true that you need to ‘mark out’ your imbedded suggestions? How does that work?

On top of those mentioned already, perhaps “…right now.” could be interpreted as “write now”? Seeing as you asked us to comment…
Didn’t see any cause effect though, and convinced that the “may realise” is something, due to the alternative uses (permissive/chance), but not sure what effect it would have…

    Enjoyed the video…
“the more/the more” pattern (cause effect)
A double bind followed by another bind
    A couple of embedded commands

    Yes Nathan!
It’s always good to revise this stuff, even as an experienced Hypnotherapist. The language patterns become more clear each time I go through them and make it easier to implement in my therapy. Milton Erickson was certainly unique in his delivery!

The first pattern I found is ‘the more you … the more …’ which connects connects a specific event with a result you want. This result is double bound making it even harder to resist, and because it is so complex both results are likely to happen at the same time. (Or at least i think so). The specific event is listening to your voice which work as some sort of command ‘listen to my voice’ and as a constantly repeating event as we are listening to your voice often in this and other videoposts of you. The two options in your double bind includes a command to learn the patterns easily and understand understand them now as well as command to be more aware about the signals.
